JIMAS is a UK based Charity Organisation that has been operating since 1984. Thus it has a pioneering history going back over twenty five years. During these years it has gathered much experience and good results by the grace of Allah. It carries out all its activities according to the truth of Allah's final revelation to mankind, namely the noble Quran and the blessed teachings of His last Messenger to humanity, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Its primary role is education through promotion and maintenance of projects that achieve all three types of actions mentioned in the narration below. Thus its main objective is to facilitate recurring charity (sadaqa jariyya) for Muslims and this underpins all activities without any compromise.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "After the death of a person his actions stop except for three things that he leaves behind. Continuous charity, knowledge from which benefit is obtained and a righteous son who prays for him." [Muslim]

It is completely voluntarily supported and all its funds come from donations; small but regular contributions from Muslim individuals and modest fund raising projects.

JIMAS has been particularly successful at teaching Islam to the youth and carries out a substantial amount of work at universities, colleges and mosques.

All activities are open to the public and both Muslims and non-Muslims alike are welcome to attend all events.

JIMAS is a UK registered charity that supports educational and charitable activities for both Muslims and non-Muslims.

JIMAS is completely non-sectarian.

JIMAS prioritises her activities according to the needs arising in the UK while remaining caring of global concerns.

JIMAS seeks to promote an organic, home-grown, indigenous following of Islam, which is relevant to British Muslim concerns in particular and issues of the UK in general. As such JIMAS is distinct from those political movements and ideologies that had originated abroad which by their nature is not synchronised with the needs of the British public.

JIMAS lectures and seminars promote positive character building through Islamic learning and practice. It emphasises charitable effort and focuses on work that are of clear benefit and earn reward recurrently.

JIMAS encourages active participation in civil society as part of worship of Allah and then service to humanity.

JIMAS believes that society is improved and enriched through bettering oneself and the family.

JIMAS is voluntarily supported and all its funds come from donations; small but regular contributions from Muslim individuals and modest fund raising projects.

These are to be understood in light of and together with the four principles and the six aims stated on the web site below.
