JIMAS
organises general social get-togethers to create an open and
uninhibited space for people to air opinions or vent any feelings
about any issue that may concern us, particularly for the
young. So far six such events have been held. The first was
on 11th of December 2006, the others this year were on the
26th of February, 23rd of April, 25th of June, all at Suffolk
College on Monday evenings, and the penultimate one was
held on Tuesday evening at the IP-City
on the 25th of September. Our last
OCC at Coplestone School was a lavish and well attended
event with the Bishop of Jerusalem, which was held on the
23rd of November 2007.
Anyone
and everyone are warmly welcome in true community spirit.
Many attend with friends and family to enjoy a good meal with
the Muslims of Ipswich, to build friendship and understanding
as a single community, for peace, security, prosperity and
success for all.
